- Call for abstract subsmission to EGU General Assembly 2026 in a session I co-organise with my colleagues Denise Degen, Jeremy Rohmer and Florian Wellmann on "Subsurface Digital Twins: Integrating Data, Physics-based Models, and AI" , looking forwards to see you there -> Session ITS1.11/ESSI1.10

- In May 2025 I obtained my HDR (French accreditation to supervise research), if you want to know what is the French "Habilitation à diriger des recherches" -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habilitation_to_Supervise_Research

Research

Recruitment

If you are a motivated student with a strong interest in research willing to work on real world problem do not hesitate to contact me for possible master's thesis, internships, PhD thesis and postdocs.

My research

I do computational engineering for Geosciences, working on semi-automated methods to offer a more quantitative qualification and characterisation of the uncertainty in data and models in a merger workflow type of approach. We can call it data integration, data assimilation, or by extension digital twins. My work is real world data-centric driven (deep geothermal, CO2 storage, coastal risks, hydrogeology), therefore, aiming to support the decision making process for ressources exploration and exploitation. I develop this approach through different projects I lead or I contribute to, with different research consortia funded by the European council or the French council, which includes industry and academics' partners.

Areas of Interests
  • Quantitative and assisted model update
  • Hybrid data assimilation
  • Tailored uncertainty characterisation and propagation
  • Generalisation of techniques and methods for geosciences
Problems and methods of Interests
  • Multi-stream data integration (wells, map-based data)
  • Mathematical and computational methods, generalisation and automatisation
  • Uncertainty analysis and propagation
  • Objective function (fitness landscape, metrics, pattern recognition)
